Product Introduction
This product is a device that uses laser absorption spectroscopy technology to perform non-contact measurement of natural gas (CH4) concentration. It can also replace the laser to measure gases such as CO, NH3, and C2H4.
Detection Principle
When the instrument is working, it emits a detection laser within a specific wavelength range (the center wavelength varies depending on the gas being measured). This detection laser undergoes diffuse reflection upon encountering reflective objects (such as the ground, valves, pipes, walls, etc.), with a portion returning to the instrument's detection unit. If a gas leak forms a cloud within the beam path, this cloud will absorb the detection laser. The ratio of unabsorbed light to absorbed light is a function of the cloud's concentration. This ratio can be used to deduce the cloud's concentration.
During testing, the indicator laser should be shone onto objects that are prone to reflection, such as buildings, pipes, walls, ground, soil, and trees, so that the instrument can receive the reflected laser signal.
