This product is a device that uses laser absorption spectroscopy technology to perform noncontact
measurement of natural gas concentration. It is commonly used in natural gas stations,
urban gas inspections, overhead pipelines, and indoor safety inspections.
work principle
The working principle of this product is as follows: When the instrument is working, it emits a
detection laser with a specific wavelength range (the center wavelength varies depending on the gas
being measured). This detection laser undergoes diffuse reflection upon encountering reflective
objects (such as the ground, valves, pipes, walls, etc.), with some laser light returning to the
instrument's detection unit. Within the beam path, if there is a gas cloud formed by a leak of the gas
being measured, this gas cloud will absorb the detection laser. The ratio of the amount of light not
absorbed to the amount of light absorbed is a functional relationship with the concentration of the gas
cloud. The concentration of the gas cloud can be deduced by calculating this ratio.
Application Scenarios
During testing, the indicator laser should be shone onto objects that are prone to reflection, such as
buildings, pipes, walls, ground, soil, and trees, so that the instrument can receive a stronger reflected laser
signal.
